  1. PWSA playing rules will apply in all games, except where covered by these rules. Exceptions: all players bat in the batting lineup, and there will be unlimited defensive substitutions. If a player is injured or becomes ill, she will be removed from the game, and her spot in the batting order will be skipped without penalty. No dropped 3rd strike, or infield fly.
  2. Each team may roster 17 players, 3 coaches, and 1 manager
  3. For round robin games a player from each team is to accompany a coach to ground rules. The player from either team receives a game ball, on the count of the each player rolls a ball towards second base. Whichever teams ball ends up closest to second base decides, on home or away.
  4. Round Robin Points – 0 points for a loss, 1 point for a tie, 3 points for a win
  5. Tie breaker – Head to Head Result, Plus/Minus with 7 being max, Fewest runs allowed, Coin Flip
  6. Playoff games, home team will be decided by the higher seed, from round robin.
  7. Home team is responsible for official score keeping, scores are to be reported to Matt Roberts, 1-226-921-4636 or Greg Kelly 416-953-6639.
  8. All games will be  no new inning after 1 hour and 30 minutes, or 7 complete innings, using the run ahead rule of 15 runs after 3 innings, 10 after 4 innings, or 7 from the 5th inning on. Games can end in a tie, NO OPEN INNINGS, 5 Runs max per inning.   All medal games, Gold and Bronze will be 7 full innings!!!
  9. Teams must be ready to play 15 minutes in advance of game time.
  10. The Home plate/base umpire are responsible for administering the game time limit. The official start time will be confirmed by the umpires, at the time of first pitch.
  11. NO PROTESTS ALLOWED, in case of any disputes, the Umpire’s decision is final, the game is to be decided on the field of play.
  12. The tournament committee reserves the right to amend the tournament format should any unforeseen circumstances arise.
  13. Pinch Runner is allowed for the pitcher, and or catcher in a 2 out situation.
  14. Any team who has borrowed a player from another team, must obtain a letter of permission from the players registered team. if they do not have this letter, they will not be covered by insurance. A copy of this letter must also be sent to the division convener and sent to [email protected] 
  15. Good Sportsmanship is mandatory
  16. Each team will receive an MVP award for the first 4 round robin games, please discuss with the team you are playing, and try to spread out the award as much as possible, to not have duplicate winners.
  17. Ejections-  Should a player or coach receive a game ejection, by the umpire or the UIC, they will automatically be suspended for their next game of the weekend. A second ejection, will result in the coach/player being banned from the tournament, should a fan be thrown out of a game, that fan is banned for the balance of the weekend no exceptions, and zero tolerance.
