Provincial Announcement
Please see below regarding re-opening … once we have more info, we will pass along.

We will need to make sure the City approves our re-opening protocols and we need to make sure our insurance is in order too.

Our next Board meeting is Mon June 7th at 730pm via ZOOM, and we would like at least 1 coach/team to be able to jump on this meeting;  this will just make things easier relaying all the information we have.  Huron Perth also has some updates, that we can go over during the meeting as well.

We are 1 step closer!  (slowly but surely!)

Subject: Provincial Announcement - Update - Sports Fields

Good afternoon,

With yesterdays’ Provincial announcement regarding the Roadmap to Reopen, we wanted to update everyone concerning how this affects the use of sports fields.

As of tomorrow, May 22nd, sports fields are open for casual use only – maximum number of people allowed is 5.  League or team use is not permitted at this time.

Based on current trends in key health indicators, the government expects to enter Step One of the Roadmap the week of June 14, 2021 Step One will permit the resumption of more outdoor activities with smaller, including but not limited to:

Ontario will remain in Step One for at least 21 days. If at the end of those 21 days the province has vaccinated 70 per cent of adults with one dose and 20 per cent of adults with two doses and there are positive trends in public health and health system indicators, Ontario will move to Step Two (possibly the week of July 5).

Step Two will further expand outdoor activities and will resume limited indoor services with small numbers of people where face coverings are worn, with other restrictions in place, including but not limited to :

  • Outdoor gatherings up to 25 people
  • Outdoor sports and leagues

Ontario will remain in Step Two for at least 21 days. If at the end of those 21 days the province has vaccinated 70 to 80 per cent of adults with one dose and 25 per cent of adults with two and positive trends in public health and health system indicators continue, Ontario will move to Step Three (possibly the week of July 26).

Step Three will permit:

  • Outdoor gatherings with larger capacity limits;
