SMGSA 2020 Season Update
Submitted By Admin on Monday, June 8, 2020
Attn:  All parents and players

After much thought and careful consideration, the SMGSA Board has made the difficult decision to cancel our upcoming 2020 season as a result of Covid-19.

Due to the Government regulations, along with the long list of protocols set out by PWSA and Softball Canada – the liability and responsibility to our Association each and every time at the ball field, we simply cannot ensure the safety of our players and volunteers for this upcoming season.

We have not cashed any cheques for the upcoming season, and any cheques in our possession will be destroyed.

For anyone that has paid by PayPal, we will be issuing cheques for refunds.

We are already looking towards our 2021 season and will be working hard to address Tryouts, Registration, Sponsorship and a safe return to play plan.  As you know, this will all highly depend on The Ministry of Health and the City of Stratford.

Please keep an eye on our website smgsa.ca as that is where will keep our most up to date information.

If you can – we would love for you to support our past SMGSA Sponsors – we have been highlighting them on all our social media outlets to show our thanks and appreciation for their dedication to our association and your children.

We thank you very much for your patience.  If you have any questions, please let us know.

Yours in softball,

Cheryl Fountain, on behalf of SMGSA
